The Welsummer

This breed has excellent heat and cold tolerance which makes them perfect for Texas conditions. They are very friendly birds too which makes them great with the family. Welsummers lay a dark brown egg. 

This is a Dutch breed that originated from the Rhode Island Reds, Barnevelders, Partridge Leghorns, Cochins, and Wyandottes in the early 1900’s.
